About

Olinda is a UK-based production company focused on urgent, character-led documentaries with powerful, real-world stakes.

Its debut feature, The Bravest Stuntman in the World, follows a Liverpool stuntman who risked his life to be believed, ultimately exposing institutional failure in the process. The film combines archive and present-day storytelling in a direct, audience-facing narrative.

Olinda was established by Andrew Michael Carruthers after nearly two decades developing and producing short-form documentaries, branded content and short films. Moving into feature documentary work, he founded the company to develop ambitious, cinematic stories grounded in access, character and urgency.

The current slate includes a documentary on the fight to preserve independent cinemas across the UK, produced with an Emmy- and BAFTA-winning producer attached, alongside a new feature revealing how migration routes intersect with a global black market sustained by demand in the West.
